What are Alpha Hydroxyl Acids? AHA, Alpha Hydroxyl Acids, are natural organic acids. These organic acids can be found in a variety of fruits and foods; for example, lactic acid in sour milk, tartaric acid in grapes, acid in apples, citric acid in citrus fruits. However, the most effective AHA is Glycolic Acid, derived from sugar cane or sugar beets.

What makes Glycolic Acid more effective? In scientific and dermatological circles, Glycolic Acid has been found to be the most effective. It has the smallest molecular structure of all AHAs and possesses the greatest skin penetration potential.

What exactly does it do? Clinical studies show that Glycolic Acid actively promotes and accelerates the exfoliation of dead skin cells, thereby reducing visible signs of aging, skin imperfections, and skin discoloration (i.e., wrinkles, lines, acne, liver spots, age spots, sun exposure, skin redness).

What makes Deborah’s Collection Restore different from other AHAs on the market? In short, stabilized Aloe Vera is the key. Not only will Restore promote the exfoliation of dead cells, but also it will accelerate cell division and rejuvenation. This system creates a synergistic action, increasing the number of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) or moisture molecules while increasing the production of collagen and elastin.

This formulation is also enhanced with Arnica, Calendula, Chamomile, Cucumber, and Green Tea. These botanicals stimulate cell growth while toning and softening the skin.

Application:
Use at night after cleansing. Apply a small amount directly onto fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration or other skin imperfections. It may be applied over the entire face and neck area and to the hands for age spots. Spread gently, avoiding the eyes. Allow three to four minutes to dry and penetrate. Follow with your nightly crème, Rejuvenating Complex, Luxurious Night Crème, or Aloe Jelly for oily or acne skin. If using Restore in conjunction with Renew, apply Renew only in the morning before day­time moisturizer.
